Comprehension Boosters
Ask your children these types of questions about books they have read or may be reading.
1. How does this book make you feel? 2. What connections are there between the book and another book, the world, and/or your life? 3. What are the best parts of the book? The worst parts? 4. What do you think might happen next? 5. What would you and your favorite character talk about in your first conversation? 6. In what ways are you like any of the characters in the book? 7. Do you think the book title fits the book? Why or why not? 8. Who else should read this book and why? 9. What parts of the book seem believable? What parts seem 10. unbelievable? 11. How do you picture the author of this book? Explain.
